Basundi
I won't lie, I didn't know it was called Basundi, we always call it Basudi!!
So what is it? It's a thick milk based dessert made with condensed milk and can often be flavored with saffron and cardamom (of course each region of India does it differently!) Topped with your choice of nuts and edible flowers!
While I'm not a huge Basundi fan (if I'm doing milk based desserts, I'm team Ras Malai and Doodh Pua all the way) but Basundi is an ESSENTIAL in the Desai house whether it's Diwali or not!
